Conventinal Complete Dentures

Conventional complete denture

The conventional complete denture sits on the gum and has some limitation in replacing function of the natural missing teeth. Although they might be uncomfortable and not satisfy patients completely but they are tolerable and can partly fulfill their intended job. They are the cheapest way of replacing entire missing teeth and need to be kept clean every day and checked with a dentist every year. Due to their nature they transfer the chewing force to the soft bone (Alveolar bone) of the jaw which in long term will cause bone loss. the bone loss makes the denture to get lose and it needs to be relined every 1.5 year.

Usually conventional complete dentures need to be replaced every 5 years due to wear from normal use.
